Dr. Daniel Tulman
Dr. Tulman grew up in North Carolina and received his B.S. in mechanical engineering at N.C. State University. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where he also served as student council president and was a member of the honor society.
After working in Atlanta, Dr. Tulman established his practice in Lithia Springs in 1978. He is a member of the Metro-Atlanta Optometric Society, the Georgia Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association. He has served in many elected and appointed offices, including President of the Georgia Optometric Association. He has, or is currently serving as a member of the GOA Board of Trustees, Southern Council of Optometrists Board of Trustees, and Blind and Low Vision Board of Directors. Dr. Tulman has been honored as Board Member of the Year for Blind and Low Vision Services and as Georgia’s Optometrist of the Year. He has received numerous optometric honors and citation of merit.
Dr. Tulman served as a preceptor for the University of Alabama’s College of Optometry. He was chosen as one of the optometrist to serve on the medical team for the 1996 Olympic Games, treating athletes from across the world. For over twenty years, Dr. Tulman has provided kids, teens, and adults with the highest quality eye care available. The practice utilizes the most current technology in a friendly and caring office environment.

Dr. Mehrdad Saadat
Dr. Mehrdad E. Saadat attended The University of Georgia after graduating from South Cobb High School in Austell, GA. He returned to the Atlanta from Athens early as he was selected to enroll in Emory University's "House Staff Program". After Graduation from Kennesaw University where he graduated with a B.S. in Biological Sciences, he received his Doctorate in Optometry from The Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. Dr. Saadat is trained in areas of ocular disease. He has a particular interest and is highly trained in the area of what is commonly known as "Dry Eye" also known as "Dysfunctional Tear Syndrome" which includes dryness, itching and watery eyes. Dr. Saadat even travels to educate other optometrists different methods of diagnosing and treating Dysfunctional Tear Syndrome. He is also well trained in contact lenses including lenses for astigmatism and bifocal or multi-focal use.
He is a 10 year member of the American Optometric Association, and the Georgia Optometric Association. He has served as the Treasurer/Secretary of the Greater Atlanta Optometric Association and is currently the Vice President of the Greater Atlanta Optometric Association. He hopes to be selected to lead the state in the future . He also serves the South Cobb Lions club.
Dr. Saadat is currently single and enjoys spending time with friends and family. His hobbies involve motorsports including autocross, track and drag racing as well as Formula-1 racing. He also enjoys camping, skiing and travel.

Dr. Pamela Shepard
Dr. Pamela Shepard grew up in Collinsville, Alabama. She graduated with Honors summa cum laude from the University of Alabama in 2004, where she concentrated in Biological Sciences. After receiving her Bachelor of Science, she continued to Optometry School at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. While there, she was involved in the Gold Key Honor Society and served as President of the Optometric Honor Society Phi Beta Sigma. She also was a member of SVOSH, a volunteer organization that served the needs of underprivileged patients in the United States and abroad. While a student at UAB, Dr. Shepard completed rotations at Veteran's Affairs hospitals and an ophthalmology practice that specialized in refractive surgery. She also received extensive training in primary care, pediatrics, and contact lens fittings.
Upon graduation in 2008, Dr. Shepard received the Alabama Optometric Society's leadership award. She then began a residency in Ocular Disease at Omni Eye Centers of Atlanta, where she further developed her ability to treat various ocular conditions and care for pre and post operative cataract patients. While at Omni, Dr. Shepard served as an emergency on call eye care professional for over 400 optometrists in the Atlanta area. In addition to treating various ocular diseases, Dr. Shepard has also taught dozens of optometry students from around the United States and Canada through lecturing and clinical encounters.
Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Shepard began working full time at Tulman Eye Group. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Georgia Optometric Association. In addition to ocular disease, she enjoys primary care optometry and caring for pediatric patients. In her spare time, Dr. Shepard enjoys traveling, reading, yoga, and spending time outdoors. |
